True quality is found in the details. Every welded steel frame is carefully hand-finished, with welds ground smooth and surfaces meticulously prepared before powder coating. Even concealed features such as rivet nuts for adjustable feet and fittings are ground flush, creating clean lines and a refined finish throughout.
This level of craftsmanship takes significantly more time than standard fabrication, but we believe exceptional furniture should show care in every detail—not just the parts you see.
While many manufacturers simplify designs to reduce production time and cost, we take the opposite approach. Features such as the intricate X-detail base and additional structural elements are retained because they create the right final piece, not because they are the easiest to manufacture.
Our "Beauty in Broken" upright detail is hand crafted on each face ensuring the relationship between upper and lower portions is maintained.
The result is a stand that combines precision engineering with furniture-grade craftsmanship, built without compromise.
Interlocking Removable Panels
Our limited edition cosmetic panels are designed to transform the CORE product frame into a striking sculptural statement piece. Each Signature Collection: such as FORM, consists of four individually mastered panels - two flat, and two corner panels that are assembled by positioning and sliding into place, where they interlock through the contemporary fracture design detail.
The concept draws inspiration from natural rock formations, where geological forces slowly fracture and shift over time. Rather than concealing these breaks, we chose to celebrate them, embracing the idea that there can be beauty in what is broken. Individually, each panel tells part of the story; together, they unite to create a more powerful and impactful statement piece.
The fractured openings serve both an aesthetic and functional purpose. As light from the internal LAC furniture illumination escapes through selected fissures, dramatic patterns are projected onto the surrounding surfaces of your interior space, creating a captivating display that comes to life after dark.
Each panel softly secures into place against the frame via hidden magnets.
Dependent on your style, individual panels can be removed or added over time, exposing areas of the CORE frame and aquarium equipment.
Beauty in Broken
At the heart of every piece is a deliberate contradiction.
The front-right upright of the CORE frame appears broken, interrupted, and incomplete, as though a structural element has been broken away. Yet this feature is entirely intentional and remains fully integrated into the engineering of the product. It forms a defining part of our design language and serves as a visual signature across our CORE collection and inherited by limited edition releases.
When displayed with a fully loaded glass aquarium above, the fractured upright creates a subtle sense of tension. Depending on the viewing angle, it can evoke the impression that the structure is more fragile than it truly is, challenging our natural expectations of balance, strength, and support. This carefully crafted illusion encourages a moment of pause and reflection.
The concept is inspired by the fragile nature of life itself—where strength and vulnerability often exist side by side. What appears broken is not weakened; what seems incomplete is, in fact, whole.
As the viewer moves around the piece, the perception continually changes. From some angles the break almost disappears, while from others it becomes a bold focal point. This dynamic interaction between object and observer creates a design that is never experienced in quite the same way twice.
The feature can be concealed behind Signature Collection panels or intentionally revealed by removing a panel, allowing the underlying narrative and craftsmanship of the frame to become part of the display itself.

Every LAC creation is fitted with bespoke brushed stainless steel plaques, precision engraved and permanently secured to the structure. The rear plaque carries the unique serial number of the CORE frame, creating a lasting identity that is recorded within the LAC archive.
The front plaque celebrates the configuration you have chosen. CORE models are identified simply as LAC, while Limited and Special Edition pieces feature individually engraved edition numbers, marking their place within an exclusive production series.
Each numbered piece is registered by LAC and accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity, providing documented provenance and confirmation of ownership. This ensures that every product remains identifiable, traceable, and collectible throughout its lifetime.
In a world of mass production, these plaques serve as a reminder that your piece was created as part of a carefully controlled collection—hand built, individually documented, and destined to remain exceptionally rare.
Internal Lighting

The Signature Lighting Collection has been developed exclusively for LAC limited edition panelled configurations, transforming the piece from a functional display into a dramatic architectural feature.
The system comprises two bespoke LAC-crafted COB LED light profiles, discreetly mounted to the inside faces of the rear CORE frame uprights. Precision-designed specifically for the LAC structure, each profile secures effortlessly into position using an integrated magnetic fixing system, allowing simple installation, removal, and maintenance without compromising the clean aesthetic of the frame.
Each profile incorporates a premium diffuser cover that works in harmony with high-density COB (Chip-on-Board) LED technology. Unlike conventional LED strips that can reveal individual points of light, the dense COB arrangement produces a continuous, uninterrupted line of illumination. The result is a smooth, uniform bar of light with exceptional visual consistency and no visible hotspots.
When paired with the limited edition panels from our collections, the lighting reveals an entirely new dimension of the design. Light escapes through the carefully sculpted fracture details, casting dramatic shadows and highlights that accentuate the contours of the panels while creating an atmospheric presence after dark.
